About Acorn GLP Consulting

Acorn GLP Consulting was established by Anne Maczulak to provide services in Good Laboratory Practices and non-GLP processes to maximize the business potential of research labs.  Anne is a Registered Quality Assurance Professional in GLP and has a degree in Nutrition from the Ohio State University and a PhD in Microbiology from the University of Kentucky . She also holds an MBA from Golden Gate University , San Francisco .  Anne has worked as a research scientist in industry for 20 years. She has lab experience as a microbiologist with Fortune 500 companies in both chemical specialties and personal care products, and as clinical information coordinator in the pharmaceuticals industry.

Anne has direct experience in GLP studies as Study Director, Sponsor, study scientist and as an auditor for QC issues and QA compliance for regulatory agencies.  She has authored Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), protocols, datasheets, final reports, audit checklists, and audit reports.  Anne has taught classes and given presentations on topics such as audit hotspots in QA, methods in microbiology, water microbiology, disinfection and cleaning, microbiology of the skin and hair, nutrition, and test methods for GLP compliance.  Teaching is one of her strengths and favorite endeavors.  As a member of SQA, RAPS, ASM, AWWA, SIM and regional chapters of those national professional organizations, Anne has a strong network of experts upon which to rely in providing the best and most timely information to her customers.
